CAPTAIN OLIVIA O WYATT was born and bred in landlocked Little Rock, Arkansas. She is an award-winning filmmaker, TV producer, writer and USCG certified 50-Ton Master Captain
She currently lives aboard her 34 ft. sailboat, Juniper, and has over 10,000 nautical miles of offshore sailing experience. In the summer of 2019, she single-handed San Diego to Hawaii. It took her 23 days. In the summer of 2020, she sailed across the equator to French Polynesia and she is currently in Fiji. She plans to circumnavigate following the humpback whale migration patterns.
As a filmmaker, she makes ethnographic films that focus on preserving the traditions of communities that are on the brink of extinction as well as creating abstract works of a psychedelic nature.
She is a member of the Sublime Frequencies collective and recipient of a Studio 7 Arts grant. She has made three feature-length films. Her last one, Sailing A Sinking Sea, premiered at SXSW, won the audience choice award at the Singapore International Film Festival, and recently screened at the Smithsonian Institution.
Olivia spent five years as a multimedia journalist for Magnum Photos and has produced series for Viceland, NBC, National Geographic, Magnum Photos, Alo Moves, ATTN: and Lifetime. Her work has been highlighted by the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and BBC.
As a writer she has been featured in The Thieving Magpie and performed live at the Curiosity Preservation Society. Many of her short stories recently appeared in an anthology called Trips (Bambaz press).

JUNIPER
JUNIPER is a 34 ft. Ta Shing Panda. She was born in 1984 to a shipyard in Taiwan. She was designed by Gary Grant who was an apprentice to Bob Perry & her sister ship is the Baba. Juniper is a cutter rig with a keel the size of Texas. Her interior cabin is dressed in rainbows and when she sails she sings.
